Application of Acrylic Concrete Stains

Applying acrylic concrete stains is simple for the do-it-yourselfer. Be sure to stir the stain first. Use a brush to cover the corners and edges.

Then roll the rest with a short-medium nap roller making all strokes in the same direction. A nylon brush can be used for smaller areas. Let it dry for three hours and apply a second coat by rolling in the opposite direction. As a general rule, one gallon will cover 200-300 sq ft. Rough surfaces require more stain than smooth surfaces. Allow another three hours for the second coat to dry and wash the concrete with soap and water.
