Q. I just moved into my new house with acid stained concrete floors. Every single footprint leaves a white mark on the floor and will not come off. Do you have any suggestions why this is happening and what can fix it?
A. It sounds like a problem with the sealer or perhaps a lack thereof. This can happen with a low quality sealer or when the sealer gets worn away. Interior floors should have a good strong sealer such as a urethane or epoxy sealer. My suggestion would be to have a decorative concrete professional look at to see what's happening and find the best solution. It's difficult to determine the problem without being able to see it.
