Simple Concrete Repairs

There are some fairly simple concrete repairs you can do to help maintain a strong, longerlasting surface. Concrete, like anything else, doesn't last forever, but performing some routine maintenance and repairs can extend it's lifetime.

Common problems include:

• cracks
• popouts
• scaling
• spalling
• chips and broken corners

Almost all concrete surfaces, especially exterior concrete, will eventually have some of these problems. But on a small scale they are not difficult to fix. If you experience any of these problems on a large scale (over 25% of the surface) you should consult a contractor for the best solution.

Repairs to the concrete surface are essential if you plan to do any decorating such as acid staining, acrylic staining, or painting if you want to be satisfied with your finished product.
