Garage Floor wearing Off

by Terry
(Fort wayne, In )

Q. The concrete on my garage floor is wearing off, mainly where the vehicles tires sit. The pores of the concrete are now visable. The 3rd bay and the rest of the floor are in good condition, because there is no vehicle traffic. What should I do to fix this problem?

A. You can fix this by applying patching cement in the damaged areas. Clean it thoroughly and then apply a surface repair cement with a trowell. Of course this isn't going to look very good but you can apply a colored sealer or epoxy floor paint to cover it all up.
