Mixing sand in the sealer

Q. Can silica be mixed into the sealer rather than broadcasting?

A. Yes, the sand can be mixed in the sealer but needs to be done with an electric mixer. The reason I don't recommend it is because most do-it-yourselfers don't have an electric mixer with the proper paddle. Broadcasting is just an easier method and you don't have to worry about finding a mixer or having thinning agents to clean the paddles.
