Polymer Concrete Stain

This basketball court was colored with an acrylic concrete stain. The stain is made by Rembrandt and called a polymer stain. It looks like paint but much thinner to allow for better penetration into the pores of the concrete. Although acrylic stains come in many colors, it took some trial and error mixing to come up with the gold color. The outline of the logo was scored with a 4"x1/4"x5/8" grinding blade. After rinsing and drying, two coats of clear solvent based acrylic sealer were applied to serve as the wearcoat.
