Q. I have epoxy floor paint on my garage floor and it is begining to chip/flake off. How best to remove it so I can repaint the floor?
A. The best way to remove it is with a diamond floor grinder. It's fast and you don't have to deal with harmful chemical strippers. Chemical strippers will work but you have to use caution, make sure you have good ventilation, and dispose of them properly. There are soy based strippers that will do the job safely. The key is to give them plenty of time to soften the paint so you don't have to do as much.
