Q. Is Polymer Overlay ideal for self leveling on top of existing concrete on slab? (1/2" - 2 1/2" application)
A. A polymer overlay is ideal for leveling a slab, but it is not self leveling. You have to screed it or strike it off level. Also, it should be applied in 1 inch lifts until you reached the desired grade. The aggregates in a polymer topping are not big enough to apply with thickness over an inch without it spider-webbing.
