How Do I Maintain Stained Concrete?

Maintaining stained concrete is simple and should be done periodically to protect your investment. For exterior surfaces, just give it a good cleaning with soap and water, let it dry completely, and apply a new coat of concrete sealer. This should be done every 2-3 years for surfaces that only get foot traffic and once a year for surfaces with vehicle traffic.

For interior surfaces, just keep a good coat of wax on top. You don't want to apply sealer indoors if isn't necessary.

The key to preserving stained concrete is keeping a clear coat on top. Instead of the stain being worn away, it's just the clear coat that takes the abuse.
