Stamped concrete patio on new house

Our house was just finished being built and instead of the normal plain patio we had stamped concrete put in. They used a tan color in the mix and made the borders dark brown. It looks beautiful when it's clean but it's hard to keep it clean while trying to get the grass to grow.
