Stamped Concrete Slate

This patio is finished with stamped concrete slate pattern. The large ashlar pattern is one of the most popular of the decorative concrete finishes. You can see how the control joints are not very noticeable since the pattern has all straight lines. The concrete is integrally colored with "sante fe buff". Notice how different the color looks in the sun versus in the shade. This is proof that pictures can be very deceiving when it comes to choosing colors. The release is a dark brown color called "walnut". A solvent based acrylic sealer is used to protect the concrete and bring out the color and textures.
